R U Screw’d is committing to serving a diverse audience that consists of incoming students from all over the world, transferring students that have already experienced university life in another setting, and of course the forever conquering Scarlet Knights. This convergence of students is what makes one’s experience at Rutgers truly one of a kind. To this audience, we are dedicated to delivering useful, accurate, and most importantly, clear information to maximize the fluidity of one’s time at the university. We fully understand how hard it is to actually avoid the infamous R U Screw, but here is how we want to go about minimizing such occurrences:
- To deliver educational content that addresses areas frequently misunderstood by students. To this end, our original content is designed to focus on subject matter that can be confusing and challenging to both incoming students and students that have been here for years.
- To inform students and future Knights on the potential benefits and attractions of Rutgers as an intricate community, as well as the various drawbacks, limitations, and potential pitfalls that come with any college. To this end, we seek to deliver content that is non-biased in nature, focusing on both positive and negative attributes of life as a Scarlet Knight and part of our Rutgers community.
- To recognize the various components of what we attribute to the R U Screw. Without figuring out what the problem is, we can’t possibly begin to look for the solution. We strive to draw on the diverse backgrounds of our team of writers to contribute original content that is relatable to all Rutgers students from all walks of life.
The R U Screw encompasses many different issues stemming from the inability to adapt to a constantly evolving system. This very framework that guides the institution seems to move along with the assumption that everyone is on the same page. We want to help bridge the gap between student’s frustrations with the resources and opportunities that the university and the city of New Brunswick are so eager to offer.
